22 Jul ashley + mitch, wedding
We were really looking forward to this wedding because of all the connections that we had to them and their group of family and friends. A bunch of past clients would be at this wedding along with their bridal parties as well so it was like a huge reunion! Beyond that, we knew that the day would be peppered with beautiful details and beautiful moments. We were totally right!
One of the most memorable moments was watching Ashley’s grandma climb the stairs up to the second floor where she was getting ready. You could tell she was struggling to get up but her determination was all over her body language. Ashley turned around, surprised to see her grandma upstairs in the room and they went for a heartfelt embrace. We quickly dialled in the settings on our cameras and snapped away, capturing this timeless moment:
Wedding Editorials is often associated with a stylized and polished look to our images. At the heart of it all, we’re storytellers and there’s nothing more satisfying than capturing a meaningful moment for our couples to be cherished forever! Check out the highlights from Ashley and Mitch’s morning prep below.
The ceremony took place outdoors at the Royal Ambassador out in Caledon – a gorgeous venue we’ve shot weddings at previous times. The weather was absolutely PERFECT — not sweltering and certainly not cold. That’s hard to ask in a place like Toronto! :)[/two_thirds_column]
If you haven’t already seen our Behind The Wedding video from their wedding, go check it out here. We talk about shooting in the typical spaces at such a venue — with the lake in the background, beautiful fields and trees in the background but we also sought out some more structures — steps, walls, balconies, etc. to provide variety in posing/body positioning, composition and backgrounds.
The evening was filled with heartfelt moments, including a gorgeous song by Ashley’s sister. We were in awe!
Congrats to the happy couple xoxo
